Here is one way to make a mitered window.

This is kind of an experimental cue so some of what you see isn't typical.
The amboyna burl forearm is cored with Purpleheart and the Pink Ivory
points have these same veneers on them.  The handle is also PH.

Normally, I would knife in the sharp corners but I was in a hurry here and took
the easy way out.  That "hurry" also caused me to machine the Pink Ivory too thin. 

No problem.  Easy to fix with CNC.

It would have been simple to cut thicker pink ivory rectangles but it
was even simpler to modify the pocket program.
