I hate to be a spoil-sport but the newer "logo" cues currently available are completely different than the old ones.  They are much thinner (weaker) and use an even poorer grade of ramin wood - if that's possible.  The old ones had enough meat on them that they provided a solid base for the SP conversion.  They really hit well!  The newer ones just don't have it.  I made a few from different manufacturers and they were all junk.  Therefore, I will make no more of these.
