Looks good sitting here but it needs a lot of work.    Nice, clean, original interior    The garage WAS neat & clean at the start of this project.        Getting ready to remove engine & trannie.

396 ready to hook up    It's coming!    Free!    Matt & motor        Empty bay ready to be cleaned.

On the stand.    Muncie ready for temp storage    Motor crated & ready to go to Craigers in Clymer, NY.    Removing control arms for new bushing installation.    Out!    Old spindles removed prior to disc brake conversion.

A well stocked garage        another interior shot    dirty

original drums ready to come out.    original clutch - deep fried & toasted

Mark starting the disassembly    a spruced up engine bay    new dual master cylinder installed            looking like it wants a motor

better look at master cylinder    control arms with poly bushings & new ball joints installed    new spindles for disc brake conversion.            disc brake conversion complete!

How's this for a custom shift knob !!!

More to follow as work progresses.

The engine work was supposed to be finished in 2 weeks.  Sound familiar?  Like "the check is in the mail".  Well, 4 months later, the engine was ready to go & things moved
pretty quickly after that.  Below are some pics of Mark & Matt putting things together.  What you don't see are the little time-consuming details that have to be straightened
out before you can progress.  Things like pushrod guide plates that don't guide properly.  And clutch cross shafts that don't line up.  And a clutch fork that is supposed to fit
"most GM applications" but doesn't fit a '66 Chevelle.  And the learning curve required when converting to a full MSD system.  And finding that "switched power source".
Etc, etc.  But it finally all came together and is now running.  The pics below show the final assembly.  Below the pics is a quick video showing the engine starting up &
idling a bit.  The video was taken when the engine had about 30 minutes running time on it - just enough to break in the cam.  All in all, it sounds pretty healthy.  Still a lot
of details to work on: dash wiring is a complete disaster, suspension shortcomings that need attended to, door handle buttons that like to hide inside the door, etc, etc.
But it should be on the road in a short time !!!
